Very sturdy. Install instructions and online install video are pretty weak but I was able to install a 2×6 by myself. I did add 4 cross beams in my attic with joist hangers so I could but four lag screws per ceiling support vs 2 screws at 24″ spacing. It’s over the front of my car so it just gave me peace of mind to add the additional screws. You can set it at various heights from your ceiling which is nice. It definitely beats having to climb in the attic to retrieve containers.
